Hi Roshan, so let's say you have a deadline for January 28th 2025:
- You leave one week of buffer for anything unexpected. So you plan to finish by January 21st 2025
- You know you need 1 week of testing: The testing deadline is January 14th 2025
- Then you need 2 weeks of implementation: So you decide implementation has to start January 1st 2025.
It's about having a target date and fitting work from right to left. If it doesn't fit, you have a good indication that you have to change one of these three: Reduce the scope, increase the people working on this, or put the deadline further in time
Love to see you two collaborating and great post!
Thanks for checking it out - glad you liked it.
Thanks Jordan!!
Hey Fran, could you help me understand the meaning of this line through an example: "Work backward from the event date."

Hope it makes sense now!
